Career Development 2201

Career Development 2201 is a mandatory two credit course that all students in high school must complete.  The course is designed to help students develop the skills in making effective career decisions throughout their lives.
The course also requires students to complete a community contribution component (minimum 30 hours) and to maintain and develop an employability skills portfolio that may assist in their academic studies and career decisions.  In addition to the Employability Skills Portfolio, students will also complete a Course Content Portfolio, which will organize all facets of the course.

The Course Has Four Main Topics of Study:

Unit One:  Introduction and Course Organization (20%)


Unit Two:  Personal Management  (30%)

Unit Three:  Career Exploration-Learning and Work  (30%)

Unit Four:  Career Preparation-Life and Work  (20%)
